Dear Lord,
Do we have to talk about suffering? Trusting is hard too, but it is a much nicer word. I’d hate to have to suffer like You did on Calvary, but to follow You is to suffer ~ there is no other way.
I used to worry about suffering for You, Lord, but I no longer do. Since the enemy took our son to the pit of death, I now know suffering ~ intense, bitter suffering.
