Eternal heart

Tenero è l'amore

I’m so hungry, Lord. Hungry for peace and safety. Hungry for comfort and gentle soothing. Hungry to be cared for and loved unconditionally.

I have a giant, jagged hole in my heart. A bullet didn’t do it, but it might as well have. Suicide did it. One of my children is dead by his choice.

We will never be the same, not on this earth. Our story may be different from others, but we all have a longing in our hearts. Your Word says so.

No matter the pain in our lives, nothing we try ~ not drugs or food or thunderous music or anything else that distracts us will fill that hole.

I’ve tried. I have not succeeded. There is no denying that You always have the final Word and it was written years ago:

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s {and women’s} hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy].   Ecclesiastes 3:11
